The 24th of July Holiday fell on a Saturday this year - I was lucky to have the 23rd off and spend the day cleaning the house and doing a little shopping with Kelli. That evening we went to the drive-in to see Toy Story 3 for Randi and Tommy's 4th birthday. Brenden and Bridger stayed overnight so we could get up bright and early and head to Scofield for some fishing. Here is Brenden all buckled in and ready to get to the lake!

Here's Bridger he was still al ittle tired - it is tough to get up so early after a late night at the drive-in. He took his snuggly blanket so he could get a little sleep on the way.

Here's Brenden holding up the first fish he caught. He ended up catching 7 fish but we let most of them go because they were pretty small. But he did end up catching the biggest for the day! I think he was pretty excited!
Here's Bridger with his first fish which was also the first of the day. He caught 5 fish and we had to let all but two of his go too. But he was thrilled to have had the chance to catch some fish - it was so much fun to see his big grin!

Here's Brenden at the fish cleaning station helping grandpa by holding the cleaned fish. They were excited that we took home 6 fish!

Here's Bridger at the fish cleaning station holding his bag with three fish. They loved helping grandpa.

This is Ray doing the work - he was a great guide - he baited hooks, set-up the poles - made sure the fish were landed in the boat - drove the boat - set the anchors - and then cleaned all the fish. He is AMAZING!!! Thanks Ray for making our day of fishing so much fun!!!
It was a beautiful day and the water was like glass when we got to the lake. The boys were so happy to be out on the boat. We were lucky to see some pelicans - one actually landed on the water and scooped up a fish. What wonderful and interesting birds.
It was great being out on the lake where it wasn't so hot and enjoying a great day of fishing!
