The 24th of July weekend turned out to be a very restful and relaxing time for Ray and I. We decided not to try and go to the parade and so we stayed home and cleaned up the yard and Ray put his culinary skills to work and made some amazing BBQ ribs and teriyaki grilled zucchini YUM! We invited the kids to come over at about 5:00 PM for dinner and to have the kids run through the sprinkler - it was so much fun! Then Bryan and Danny put on an amazing fireworks extravaganza for us - what a great way to end a wonderful holiday!

Here is Melody helping her little cousin Bracken to walk - he loved the attention!

The three boys loved the crazy water sprinkler - especially spraying everyone who didn't want to get wet! Gotta love those boys!

Bridger decided to get out of the line of fire for a few minutes and dry off - it didn't take long to get dry in the hot summer weather!

Here's grandma and grandpa great enjoying a dry corner of the yard!

Grandma Great decided that we needed to have a "Pioneer experience" so she brought some pictures of our pioneer ancestors and told some stories - then we all dressed up like pioneers and took pictures. It was a lot of fun! Bryan looks just like a tall handsome hardworking pioneer!

Patti got into the festivities by wearing her shawl and cap - Lookin' Good Patti!

Pam and Danny look like they are getting ready to hit the pioneer trail!

Gotta love the pioneer look!

Ray looked a little more like an outlaw - he is a great cowboy!

Grandma and Grandpa Great enjoying the whole experience!

Melody is a pretty pioneer girl.

Miranda looks more like an angel - the hat was a little bit large for her little head!

Our sweet Bridger is a handsome cowboy!

Brenden loved dressing up like a cowboy - he looks pretty happy to be a pioneer doesn't he?

Cute little Tommy in his swimsuit and cowboy garb!

Grandpa and Bracken relaxing before the firework festivities.
