This is just one little amazing view of the Uintas where we spent the 4th of July!

The first night of camping and some of the next day was spent in rain gear - here is MaKayla in her yellow poncho as we spent some time fishing at teapot lake.

This is when I was still looking pretty good - it is only the second day!

Here is handsome Ray getting MaKayla's fishing pole ready.

MaKayla caught a rainbow trout - Hurray!!! Later we found out that she named the fish "Pants" (who knew?)

Saturday morning we met Patti, Bryan and the boys in Oakley for the 4th of July parade. It was so much fun! We did have a scary moment when they stopped the parade and told us that one of the Rodeo queens and her horse fell during the parade. They called all of the emergency people and stopped the parade for about 30 minutes. We got word that the horse had died and the queen was being rushed to the hospital with a broken neck. NO GOOD! We were so sad for her and her family. The parade continued and the kids got loads of candy and lots of fun treats. Gratefully they didn't experience the accident so they weren't tramatized and the day continued as planned. Our prayers are with the rodeo queen and her family.

Bracken and Grandpa before the parade.

Brenden taking his turn.

Happy Birthday America!

The gang waiting for the parade to start.

Getting ready for our BIG dinner. We were so glad that Ray was cooking - it turned out to be a very yummy dinner.

MMMMM...yummy corn on the cob!

Bridger gettiung his log table ready.

Brenden eating at his log table.
YUMMY! He had seconds and thirds; it must have been good!

After our great dinner we headed back down to Oakley for the fireworks. Here is Bryan waiting for the show to start.

It was a little chilly for the 4th of July!

Crazy cousins having fun together while they waited for the fireworks!

Here's how Ray waited - soooo tired after cooking all day!

Patti and Marc waiting in the van.

Finally!!!! Fireworks!

Happy Birthday America!!!

Fishing with the Stenders the next morning. Bracken loved the rocks!
