Friday after work we decided to go to the Arts Festival...it started out really fun!
We made our way to the face painting booth and MaKayla was so excited to have her face painted. While we waited the clouds started to gather and the wind started blowing.
Kayla got her vampire face and was so excited - as you can see it started to get very dark. We decided to head back to the car to wait out the storm. Luck wasn't on our side as the skied opened up and we got drenched! This cute little vampire ended up having a gray face as the rain washed the black into the white.
After getting wet we weren't too excited to stay - with the wind blowing we all got pretty chilled. When we dropped Kelli and MaKayla off at their house we were greeted by the beautiful double rainbow.
The clouds continued to swirl as the sun was setting.
The double rainbow followed us home - it was really amazing - I've never witnessed a rainbow lasting so long!
Saturday turned out to be absolutely beautiful; it was a gorgeous day to go fishing and it was especially fun to take my dad out. This is a picture of my dad and Ray in the boat waiting for me to park the truck.
Here's Ray coming to pick us up!
This is a picture of the fisher"woman"! I caught the most and the biggest! Hooray for some fun fishing!
Here is my dad hoping for another bite! He caught quite a few fish they were all just really little! But we all agreed a small fish is better than no fish!
Here's Ray taking a little break after helping both me and my dad with our poles and netting the fish. He is a man of great patience! Thanks Ray for making the day so much fun!
Here's dad again - laughing at me as I tried to get the right angel for a good picture. He looks great - doesn't he???
This is me after the day has worn on and the warmer clothes have been shrugged off. Notice how calm the water is. Like I said a "Perfect" day for fishing!
Sunday we drove up to Ogden for Danny's grandma's viewing. On the way home we decided to stop by Bryan's brother John's new house. When we got there he wasn't there so the boys found some fun things to do in the vacant lot next door. There is a huge balloon attached to these flags!
Here's Bryan and Bracken waiting.
Here's Bridger with the HUGE balloon. It was so fun to pull it down and then let it go and watch it fly up into the sky.
Here's Brenden and the big balloon. They found out that they could run it all over the lot with the long flag rope on it.
Here's Kelli and Patti Waiting.
Bracken is so happy he finally got his turn to hold the balloon!John finally arrived and we were able to see his new home - it is beautiful.
WHEW! It was a great weekend, now we have to go back to work. Gratefully it is a short week and we are probably going camping for the 4th of July. I'm sure I'll have more pictures for an update then. Everyone be safe for the holiday.
