Family Reunion August 2011

I know I won't be able to include all of the pictures on this blog so I will probably have to break this up in a couple of different sections.  Here is section #1:

 Ray, Kelli, Marc, MaKayla and Cru headed up 2 days early to make sure that we got the camping spot we wanted.  Here is Cru on his first camping adventure.

 MaKayla was wearing sandals when we arrived and she needed to put on her "camping shoes"  This is outside their family trailer on the rug.  We planned on getting dirty!

 This is a view of Puffer Lake - we have been camping here as a family for over 45 years.  This reunion was to honor my dad who started this tradition and to celebrate his 80th birthday.  I'm sure you can see why we love this beautiful place.

 Part of the fun of going to Puffer Lake is the Jeep rides.  This little Jeep has been to Beaver, UT numerous times and traveled many rough roads.  We love to go Jeeping!!!

 Fishing on Puffer Lake is a tradition.  Here is MaKayla with her Princess Fishing pole.  You can see how clear and calm the lake was...beautiful!!!

 Ray is the consumate fisherman - he has all of the gear and really makes these excursions special for all of the kids.  In a future post I will show the other grandkids experiencing the joy of this wonderful lake.

 Success!  A beautiful little trout - way to go MaKayla!

 Friday all of the other kids showed up - here is Bracken getting ready to drive the Jeep.  It was hard to get him out of the Jeep once he went for a ride!

 Here is a Jeep full of grandkids.  Maddie is on the front seat, Tommy is on the right, Brenden is sitting on the roll bar, MaKayla is waiving, Melody is in the middle, Miranda is standing next to her, Bridger is in the left top corner, and Bracken is in the driver's seat.

 Maddie loved the Jeep too!  So much fun!

 Tommy couldn't stop smiling!  Jeeping is Great!

 Bridger brought his bike and had a bumpy ride on the dirt roads.

 Miranda was sad that she didn't bring her bike!  We'll remember next year cutie.

MaKayla wasn't so sure the bumpy ride was worth the effort.

We had so much fun those first few days, camping, fishing, riding bikes, going for rides in the Jeep, eating lots of fun Dutch Oven food, and just being together.  Saturday everyone else arrives - we had over 50 people in attendance to honor my dad.  Lots of fun activities and yummy food for everyone.  I'll share those in the next installment.... to be continued
